Lineage 2 Interlude Classes

18 min read · Updated 2026-07-09 · All 39 classes across 5 races

Interlude offers 39 third-class jobs across 5 races. Every race has a distinct starting village, racial passives, and class tree. Choose one that fits how you actually want to play — not the one that’s “strongest,” because every third-class job has a competitive role on Lineage2.ms.

I Human — The Balanced Race

Humans start at Talking Island. Their racial identity is versatility: not the best at anything, competitive at everything. Human classes fill every archetype.

Human Fighter tree (9 third-class jobs)

  • Duelist — dual-sword master. Top-tier PvP with strong burst and self-CP recovery. Olympiad favourite.
  • Dreadnought — polearm specialist. AoE farm king, great mass-PvP.
  • Phoenix Knight — light-armor tank. Balance of survivability and mobility for siege-caller roles.
  • Hell Knight — heavy-armor tank with dark-magic self-support. Solo-farm tank, siege wall.
  • Sagittarius — bow specialist. Highest single-target DPS in the game with proper support.
  • Adventurer — dagger rogue. Assassinate + stealth + backstab. Hard to master, deadly at cap.
  • Wind Rider — Elven Rogue counterpart pool (see below); Human path leads to Adventurer only.

Human Mystic tree (4 third-class jobs)

  • Archmage — fire/wind nuker. Highest single-target magical DPS.
  • Soultaker — death magic + curse. Solid PvE farmer with pet.
  • Cardinal — the top healer. Every raid/siege wants one. Reasonable Olympiad even.
  • Hierophant — buffer with debuff resistance and offensive spells.

II Elf — The Elegant Race

Elves start at Elven Village. High Dexterity + Wisdom, low Constitution. Fragile but precise. Best rogues, best support-healers.

Elf classes (8 third-class jobs)

  • Eva’s Templar — light-armor Elven tank. Faster than Human tanks, less survival.
  • Sword Muse — damaging bard. Strong solo-farm, unique niche.
  • Wind Rider — the Elven dagger. Faster than Adventurer, slightly lower damage.
  • Moonlight Sentinel — Elven archer. Considered the top archer for PvP by many due to Death Shot mechanics.
  • Mystic Muse — Elven nuker. Water/wind element. Slightly less peak than Archmage.
  • Elemental Master — summoner. Pets do heavy lifting, solo-farm powerhouse.
  • Eva’s Saint — second-tier healer. Great for parties without a Cardinal.

III Dark Elf — The Bloody Race

Dark Elves start at Dark Elven Village. High offensive stats, arguably the best PvP race. Ruthless self-buff DPS classes with debuff kits.

Dark Elf classes (8 third-class jobs)

  • Shillien Templar — the strongest tank in raw damage. Self-buff DPS role hybrid.
  • Spectral Dancer — Dark Elf bard. Offensive-focused, PvP-heavy playstyle.
  • Ghost Hunter — Dark Elf dagger. Highest single-target burst, self-cursing buffs.
  • Ghost Sentinel — Dark Elf archer. Focus-fire specialist.
  • Storm Screamer — the top-of-the-hill nuker in many Olympiad tier lists. Wind element + insane debuffs.
  • Spectral Master — Dark Elf summoner. Pet + solo-farm king.
  • Shillien Saint — Dark Elf healer with dark-magic offense. Uncommon but effective.

IV Orc — The Warlike Race

Orcs start at Orc Village (Immortal Plateau). Highest Constitution and Strength, lowest Dexterity. Slow but tanky. Only race with buffer-shaman archetype.

Orc classes (6 third-class jobs)

  • Titan — Orc Warlord with heavy weapons. Massive HP pool, insane burst under Frenzy/Zealot self-buffs.
  • Grand Khavatari — fist-weapon monk. Fast attacks, self-buffs, PvP unique niche.
  • Dominator — the party buffer. Every party wants one for Chant of Vampirism alone.
  • Doomcryer — alternative buffer with debuff resistance. Excels at PvE support.

V Dwarf — The Merchant Race

Dwarves start at Dwarven Village. Not a combat race — Dwarves are the economy. Craft-PvP servers like Lineage2.ms need a Warsmith clan for weapon/armor production and a Bounty Hunter or two for material farming.

Dwarf classes (2 third-class jobs)

  • Fortune Seeker — the top spoiler/looter. Can Sweeper materials at higher rates, essential for endgame recipes.
  • Maestro — the Warsmith. Crafts S-grade weapons, armor, jewelry. A single Maestro can sustain a whole clan’s gear supply and earn massive adena in the process.

How to Choose Your First Class

Three questions to answer before rolling:

  1. Do you want to play solo, party, or PvP-first? Solo-viable: summoners (Elemental Master, Spectral Master), dagger DPS (Adventurer, Wind Rider), tanks (Hell Knight). Party-first: healers (Cardinal), buffers (Dominator), nukers. PvP-first: Olympiad classes (Storm Screamer, Duelist, Cardinal).
  2. Do you enjoy fast-paced or methodical gameplay? Fast: fist-weapon Grand Khavatari, dagger DPS. Methodical: nukers, tanks, healers.
  3. How much time can you invest? Casual: Cardinal, Dominator (always in demand, safe to solo). Committed: Adventurer, Duelist (harder to master, higher ceiling).
