First Profession — First Class Change Quest for L2 Interlude
Path of the {Class} is the first real milestone every character hits between level 18 and 20 — it's how you swap from a naked newbie into an actual first-profession class. Every race has its own Grand Master hall in the starting village, and if you skip this quest you're stuck without new skills and locked out of proper party play. Whole thing takes roughly 30-60 minutes on retail rates, and there are a couple of things worth knowing before you dive in.

Krok 1
Once you hit level 18, head back to the starting village that matches your race — Talking Island, Elven Village, Dark Elven Village, Orc Village or Dwarven Village. Find the Grand Master hall that matches your archetype: fighters and mystics have separate halls inside the same village, so don't waste ten minutes talking to the wrong NPC. Open dialog with your class Grand Master and accept the Path of the {Class} quest. Screenshot the quest description or open your quest log so you know exactly which mobs to farm and which drops you need. -

Krok 2
The main body of the quest is farming proof items — Orc Amulet, Wooden Arrow, Book of Chants or whatever your class chain asks for. Hunting zones sit right around the starting village: Talking Island Field, Elven Fortress area, Dark Elf ruins, Orc-area mobs or Gludin outskirts for Dwarves. Grab a same-level partner if you can — duo farm is way faster and safer than solo pulls. Watch your HP, these mid-teen mobs still bite if you get careless with aggro. -

Krok 3
Most class chains have an intermediate step — you drop off a letter, hand items to a second NPC, or pick up a follow-up token. Don't skip this or the Grand Master won't accept your turn-in on the return. Check your quest log (Alt+U) for exact NPC names and locations, and use a Gatekeeper if the intermediate NPC is in another village. Skipping the Gatekeeper fee to run on foot at level 18 is not a flex, it's a waste of thirty minutes. -

Krok 4
Return to your class Grand Master with all quest items in your inventory and complete the turn-in. You'll get your first occupation change plus a starter kit — a class weapon and armor set. Immediately after, visit your Skill Trainer to learn all the freshly unlocked skills for your new profession. The class icon over your character updates, and you're now officially a Warrior, Wizard, Cleric or whatever branch you chose.
Najczęstsze pytania
Can I level past 20 without doing Path of the {Class}?
You physically can, but your XP gain gets penalized, no new class skills unlock, and no party will invite an unclassed character. Just do the quest — it's a 30 minute investment for the entire rest of your character's life.
My Grand Master won't offer the quest, what's wrong?
Two things to check: are you at least level 18, and are you in the starting village for YOUR race and archetype? Human fighters go to Human Fighter Grand Master on Talking Island, elven mystics go to Elven Mystic Grand Master in Elven Village — halls are separate.
Do I get Adena for this quest or only equipment?
Interlude retail behavior — you get only the class starter weapon and armor, no Adena reward. The gear itself covers you for the next few levels which is the real payoff.
