Relics of the Old Empire — Farm Quest 45+
Relics of the Old Empire is one of the classic farm quests in Interlude for characters 45+. The idea is simple: head into the Imperial Tomb, kill mobs, collect Broken Relic Parts, and once you hit 1000 of them, turn them in for an S-grade weapon recipe of your choice. It is repeatable, which makes it a steady source of recipes for your whole party. If you are already grinding EXP in the Imperial Tomb, the relics drop as a nice bonus on top of adena and experience.

Step-by-step walkthrough
-
1
Step 1
Go to the Imperial Tomb and talk to the Ghost of the Adventurer to accept the quest. He is a ghost NPC standing inside the location, and the dialogue is short — you just agree to help. Set a scroll or a nearby recall point, because you will be coming back to him repeatedly. -

Step 2
Start farming mobs inside the Imperial Tomb. They drop the quest item Broken Relic Part. The drop rate is decent but not 100 percent per kill, so settle into a steady grinding rhythm. A small party (tank + healer + DD) is the most efficient setup. Solo is possible on a strong summoner or overleveled DD, but the tomb has tight aggro pulls and can punish careless play. -

Step 3
Once you have collected 1000 Broken Relic Parts, return to the Ghost of the Adventurer and turn the whole stack in. Double-check your inventory before you sell junk to a merchant — it is very easy to accidentally vendor relic parts. The full 1000 is required for a single turn-in; smaller amounts will not be accepted. -

Step 4
The Ghost of the Adventurer opens a reward window where you pick one S-grade weapon recipe. Decide in advance what you want — either for your own character or for resale on the market. Common picks are Draconic Bow, Angel Slayer, Demon Splinter, Heavens Divider, and Arcana Mace. After you claim your reward, you can accept the quest again and farm the next recipe.
Frequently asked questions
What level do I need to start the quest?
Level 45. However, farming Imperial Tomb is more comfortable around 50+, since drop rate and survivability both improve.
Is the quest repeatable?
Yes. After turning in 1000 Broken Relic Parts and picking a recipe, you can accept the quest again from the Ghost of the Adventurer and farm the next one.
Which recipe should I pick?
It depends on your server market and your class. Popular liquid picks are typically Draconic Bow, Angel Slayer, Demon Splinter, and Heavens Divider.
How long does 1000 parts take?
Around 3-6 hours of active party farming. Solo runs take significantly longer and carry more risk.
What if I accidentally sold my Broken Relic Parts?
You will have to farm them again. NPCs will not buy them back, and the only way to recover progress is trading with other players who have spare parts.
